After Birthday Thoughts

|
Thanks to all the well wishers out there.   I appreciated the calls/facebooks/IM's.  But all of them were trumped by my darling little niece who sang me happy birthday.  I listened to it 3 times back to back to back.  AWESOME.

Last night I spent some time in reflection on the day to think about my favorite birthdays.  I decided I had 2.  The first was when I was 10.  My parents had a surprise birthday for me.  All my friends from school were there and it was in the upstairs of the church we were going to at the time.  There was a pop a shot and a pool table [wierd in hindsight] and other awesome things.  The best part was...it was a G.I. Joe party [pork chop sandwiches!  if you get that, you get 2 doses of awesome for lunch today]  Everyone brought me G.I. Joe presents.  Back then the action figures were like 4 bucks so I got them all.  I had them all.  AND I only received one double.  It was Big Ben so it was cool.  He came with a gun that had a tripod.

Anyway, my other favorite was last year.  Heidi and I took the day off from work and stayed home.  We slept in then made Popcorn Balls, Carved Pumpkins[mine was an Autobot], and watched Transformers.  It was one of the best memories I've had in a long time.

Welp!  Here's to your birthdays!  Hoping they will be as enjoyable as mine was.

p.s. thejoeindex.com has all the awesome GI Joes if i made you Nostalgic.

my favorite GI Joe Vehicles.

and something else that made me happy on my Bday
