Kenyan Marathon Runner = amazing. new world record for the 26.2 mile race. something like 2 hours 9 minutes maybe. REDONKULOUS.

Usain Bolt, more like INSANE Bolt. [boo i know] Fastest man ever? Wins and Breaks the world record in the 100M, 200M, and 4x100M relay races. amazing

michael phelps. if you don't know who/what he did, enjoy the rock you've been living under.

USA Basketball? they were in a not so fun spot. I mean, when Michael Clay won the gold in the Decathlon, everyone was excited! If he woulda won silver, same result. but alas, the USA basketball team would have been a failure had they not won gold. And in doing so, fulfilled everyone's expectations thereby making it almost a non-event.

Chinese Synchronized Swimming Team Competition [8 girls]
umm. Heidi and I were watching coverage, and apparently there was a girl who was/is on the synchronized swimming team and asked for a weekend off. The Coach wondered why she needed the weekend off, and the athlete responded that she hadn't seen her family for 12 years. Now thats dedication/totalitarian government, but not my point. She hadn't seen her family for 12 years, and they didn't win gold. I think they got bronze. Now if i had dedication 12 years of my life to something, and wasn't the best damn whatever, i would be srsly frustrated. Anyway, i am rambling

Also I'm thankful the olympics have given me a perfect segue from crappy royals baseball to the beginning of the College Football Season.
